Wellington "Willie" Ziebarth, passed away unexpectedly on April 9, 2025, in Cambridge, MN, at the age of 88. Born on February 4, 1937, in Spencer Brook Township, MN, to Francis and Alice (Peterson) Ziebarth, Willie grew up in a bustling household alongside his 11 siblings, learning the values of family and hard work that would guide him throughout his life.
Willie was a man whose presence was felt in the most positive of ways, a beacon of kindness in the lives of those he touched. He married Diane Stonestrom in 1959 at the Dalbo Baptist Church. Before retiring, Willie spent 37 years working at Federal Cartridge, where he was respected by his colleagues for his reliability and good nature. He made many lifelong friends.
Willie's joy in life was his family, but he also found great pleasure in the outdoors. An avid sportsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and trap shooting, often sharing these passions with friends and family. His love for gardening, going to garage sales, and attending auctions showcased his appreciation for nature and the simple joys of finding treasures.
Those who knew Willie will remember him as the man who always lit up a room with his humor. He had a knack for storytelling and a joke for every occasion. His friendly demeanor and thoughtful gestures made him a beloved figure in his community.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Annabelle, Delores, Joyce, Joan, Bernard, Frank, Jerry, Dennis, and Donald.
He is survived by his wife Diane; children, Timothy (Kris) Ziebarth of Cambridge, Scott (Sherri) Ziebarth of Ham Lake, and Julie (Michael) Herzog of Ham Lake, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Mattson of Braham, brother Larry Ziebarth of Cambridge; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Rest in peace, dear Willie, and thank you for the joy you brought to our lives.
