Wallace Carl Axelson Sr.

Wallace Axelson, Sr., 91, of Cambridge, MN entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on January 10, 2025, surrounded by family.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Wally is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Arlene; children, Linda (Joel) Goodwin, Gayle (Mark) Johnson, Wally Axelson, Jr., Diane (Greg) Melquist, and Tami (Craig) Maras. Wally was also blessed with 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, all of whom he cherished deeply.

Wally was known for his unwavering devotion to his family, and his love for his wife, Arlene, was one of his most defining traits. He took immense pride in the family they built together and in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Wally also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force.

His family will remember him as a kind, loving, and strong presence in their lives, and his legacy of love will live on through them all.

In keeping with Wally’s wishes, a private family service was held celebrating his life and memory.  Interment was at the Stanchfield Baptist Cemetery.
