Timmy Ronning

Timmy Lee Ronning passed away on March 29, 2023 in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the age of 71. 

He was born in St.Cloud, Minneosta on November 29th, 1951 to Dorothy (Tamte) and James (Jim) Ronning. 

In 1966, Timmy was confirmed at the Braham Covenant Church in Braham, Minnesota.

In 1970, Timmy graduated from Braham High School where he played sports, played in the band, and sang in the choir.  He was chosen to sing in the MN High School All State Choir. He continued to use his musical gift singing in church, many weddings and funerals.  He also went to Anoka Ramsey Community College.

On January 5, 1971, Timmy married Gail Lindeen at a Church (unknown) in Sisseton, SD.  Timmy and Gail had one son, Patrick Ronning.

In 1971, Timmy joined the Navy where he spent 4 years as a communication technician in Panama and the Azore Islands being honorably discharged in 1974.  He then started a career in car sales.  

On February 26, 2000, Timmy married Laurie Jeseritz at Plymouth Covenant Church.  Timmy resided in Plymouth until 2021 when he then moved to Rushmore Campground on Rush Lake and spent his winters traveling.

Timmy along with his dad and brother, Ritchie ran the chains for the high school football team in Braham for 36 years and the State High School Football League for 25 years. He then moved into a position where he selected, scheduled and managed the chain gangs for the State Prep Bowl.

Timmy is survived by his son Patrick Ronning, step children Matthew Severson, Aaron (Sarah) Severson and Rebekah (Thomas) Jonjak and his step grandchildren: Jada, Caden, Ava, Rileigh, Isla, Edward and Olivia.  He also survived by his Mother Dorothy Tamte (Ronning), brothers, James (Jimmy) and Ritchie (Roxi) Ronning.  Along with many other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Laurie (Jeseritz) Ronning and his father James (Jim) Ronning.

Timmy will be missed by all.  He was one of a kind.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering  Saturday, April 22, 2023 1- 4pm with a service at 2:30 at the Calvary Lutheran Church at Rush Point.
