Sylvia R. (Skoog) Grams

Sylvia Rose Grams, 93, of Zimmerman passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids.

            She was born April 10, 1928 on the family farm in Orrock Township, Minnesota to Arthur and Stella (Bergerson) Skoog.   Sylvia graduated as salutatorian from Big Lake High School in 1945.

            On September 11, 1948 she married Douglas Grams.  They lived in the Crown area where they raised six children.

            She was employed by the St. Francis High School Nurses office as an assistant from 1970-1990. 

            Sylvia enjoyed her retirement years painting pictures, watching cardinals at her feeder, playing cards, cribbage, going camping and enjoying her many grandchildren.  She was part of two five-generation pictures.  She was an honorary member of the Crown Ladies Aid and the Legion Auxiliary. 

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Douglas in 1994, grandson Bryan Hass, brother Gordon Skoog, sisters Joyce Oberg, Lois Hanson, and Harriet Sandey.  Sylvia is survived by her children Debra (Gary) Hass of Isanti, Daniel (Sheila) Grams of Zimmerman, Denise Anderson of Cambridge, Deanna (Norman) Bahr of St. Francis, Harry (Cindy) Grams of Zimmerman, Daryl (Tammy) Grams of Zimmerman, 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, sister LaDonna Palm of CO, and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service Noon, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church in Crown.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The family would like to remind those attending Sylvia's service that COVID numbers are increasing so please take necessary precautions.
