Stanley R. Saladis Jr. “Bob”, 75, of Cambridge, MN, passed away peacefully at Parmly residence of Chisago, MN on May 26, 2026.
Bob was born on May 30, 1950 to Stanley Sr. and Bettie (Howe) in Minneapolis, MN. He attended Coon Rapids Senior High School. Shortly, after leaving school, he was drafted into the US Army, proudly serving in Vietnam as a Lead Artillery crew member. Bob was honorably discharged in 1971. He returned to Minnesota and started his machinist career at Silver Tip machine shop in Blaine. In 1977, he met the love-of-his-life, Cheryl Hanson. They married after a very short courtship on June 11, 1977. They made their home in the Northwest suburbs. Finally settling down in Cambridge, MN after Bob’s retirement in 2023.
Bob enjoyed motorcycling, fishing, camping and the great outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 cousins.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Cheryl “Chery”; In-laws, Richard (Sherry) Hanson, Ron (Linda) Hanson, Ken Hanson and Patti (Mike) Corradi; nieces and nephews, Erik, Adam, Amy, Terry, Tammy, Troy, Tom, Mandy, Josh and Jeremy; and special feline friend, Kitty.
Funeral service 11 AM June 12, 2026 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home 311 S. Ashland St. Cambridge, MN 763-689-2244 Visitation 1 hour prior to service.
Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery on June 15,2026 at 12:30 PM at Assembly Area #6
