Sharon L. Carpenter

Sharon L. Carpenter, age 82,  passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at A Place At The Table adult foster care home in rural Princeton, MN.

Sharon was born in Minneapolis, MN, on July 01, 1942, to Earl J and Marjorie  Nell Bushey. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1960. Not long after graduation, she moved to California, where she worked and attended college courses for a year before returning to Minnesota. A couple of years later, on September 21, 1963, she married Kenneth Ellsworth  Carpenter. Sharon was a devoted housewife and amazing mother. Once her children were both attending grade school, Sharon started work at the State Hospital in Cambridge, MN, as an Aide for mentally challenged adults and children. From there, she was hired as a Paraprofessional for special education students at  Cambridge-Isanti School District 911 and then St. Francis Area Schools - ISD 15, where she eventually retired.

Sharon is preceded in death by her former spouse and father of her children, Kenneth Ellsworth Carpenter, her sisters Betty Ann Geving, Vernell Jean Davis, Doretta Jean Davis, and Vicky Lynn Johnson; brothers Wayne Allen Bushey, Richard Allen Davis, and Terry Lee Davis.

Sharon is survived by her son Ty (Carmen) Carpenter of Braham, MN, and daughter Janell (Phil) Olson of Dalbo, MN; sister Marcy Laidlaw of Loretto, MN, and brother Wilmer Newton (Teri) Davis III of Brooklyn Park, MN; grandchildren Tyler, Jared, and Seth; and great-grandchildren Avia, Mason, Harper, and Kynlee.

Funeral Services will be held at NOON on Friday, May 16, 2025, at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Isanti Union Cemetery.
