Ryan L. Johnson

Ryan L. Johnson, 27, of Stanchfield, MN died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12, 2024 at home.

He was born December 6, 1996 to Charles and Gina (Torell) Johnson.  He was baptized and confirmed at Cambridge Lutheran Church.  Ryan grew up in rural Stanchfield and attended Cambridge Schools, graduating from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 2015.  After high school, Ryan attended Anoka-Ramsey Community College, Cambridge Campus where he earned a degree in Business Administration.  He worked for a time at Ace Solid Waste, and was currently employed at CenterPoint Energy.

Ryan’s joy in life was hunting and fishing.  He had a bucket list that was nearly already complete, recently making trips to Alaska where he fished for salmon and elk hunting in Montana. He enjoyed playing men’s softball, and spent countless hours in the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Ramona Torell, Arnold and LauVa Johnson, uncle Corey Torell. 

Ryan is survived by his parents Chuck and Gina Johnson of Zimmerman, brother Lane Johnson (fiancée Madison Rud) of Nampa, ID, uncle Greg Torell of Thief River Falls, Ryan's fiancée Keely Wicklund of Cambridge, special family friends Bob and Donna Turchi of Stanchfield, Keely’s parents Corey and Angie Wicklund of Cambridge and their family, as well as cousins, other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service 2PM, Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Cross Pointe Church, 34047 Blackfoot St NW, Cambridge, MN 55008.  Visitation begins at 12:30 PM at the church.
