Ronald Majzner Obituary

Ronald Paul Majzner, 65, of Cambridge, MN, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2024 at his home.

He was born on September 27, 1958, in Minneapolis, MN to Robert and Mabel Majzner. His first years were spent in Spring Lake Park, MN where he attended Elementary school. His family relocated to Rush Point, MN and he attended Cambridge Middle School and High School. At the age of seventeen, Ron enlisted in the US Army.  He spent 6 years and served two tours in Korea. He was honorably discharged in 1981 achieving the rank of Sergeant.

Once discharged from the Army, Ron worked as a Network Analyst, he married Shelly Clausen, and his son Michael was born. Ron and Shelly went separate ways but always remained friends. In 2007, Ron married Becky Olson. Ron and Becky had known each other since high school. His favorite saying was “If you stalk ‘em long enough you catch ‘em”. When they married, he inherited 2 children and 4 grandchildren, which soon expanded to 8 grandchildren. Ron loved children, especially little ones.

Ron enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Summers were spent getting together with family on the Poor Side barbequing, swimming and Ron giving tube rides behind the boat. Golfing, hunting and fishing were his favorite hobbies. He was well known at the Purple Hawk. He loved to golf with his buddies and his son. Ron and his golfing buddies always had a game within the game when they were playing. He also loved to challenge anyone he was golfing with “closest to the pin” when chip shots were near each other which became known as “The Majzner”. Ron also enjoyed fishing with his son and buddies and his favorite fall adventure was hunting with his son Michael.
