Robert L. Putz, age 84, of Dalbo, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2023 at his home.
Bob was born in southern Minnesota to Louis and Eugenia Putz on February 25, 1939. He went to school until he was old enough to start earning his keep. Bob was joined in holy matrimony to Dolores Benson on November 6, 1957. They welcomed five children into their family - Mike, Donald, Craig, Kim and Shannon. Bob worked as a truck driver for ECM and S & T for many years but his true passion was repairing vehicles at his business, Bob’s Auto Body, in Dalbo. Early in his career, Bob was a volunteer fireman for the town of East Bethel and his first auto repair shop was conveniently located next to the fire station, so he was always the first person at the fire station. During his free time, Bob liked to camp, fish, collect Minneapolis Moline tractors and vehicles, snowmobile and drive his Little Red Express pick-up truck. Bob was very involved at his church, Karmel Covenant in Princeton.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; sons Donald and Craig; brothers Gene, Ray and Dwayne and sister Linda Cartwright.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Dolores; children Mike, Kim (Albert) Wicklund and Shannon (Jodie) Rolf; grandchildren Michael Putz, Jessica ( Jesse) Swinger, Jennifer Helmbrecht, William Putz, John Putz, Jesse (Amanda) Putz, Paul (Ciara) Wicklund, Elizabeth (Paul) Gilbertson, Heather Hofstedt (Jason Brown), Chad ( Katie) Rolf; many great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
