Raymond Jack McDonald, 69, of Braham died on Sunday, November 12, 2023 at Elmhurst Commons.

He was born March 29, 1954 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota to Raymond and Ruth McDonald.  Ray attended school in Long Prairie.  His father died when Ray was 10 years old and his mother died when he was 11 years old.  Raymond was raised by his sister Laura.  Following graduation, Ray left home and moved to Minneapolis where he met his wife Renee Ruth Allemang in 1973.

Ray and Renee were married on April 5, 1975 at Cambridge Lutheran Church.  They made their home in Cambridge and resided there until 2011.

Raymond worked at various factories that included Blue Fox from 1977- 1997, Twin City Tool, Premier Products, and Westling Manufacturing.  In 2007 Raymond retired after 35 years of working.

When Ray’s health started declining, he and Renee moved to Elmhurst Commons Assisted Living in 2011. 

Raymond was a “Jack of All Trades” and very skilled at doing various repairs.  He earned the nickname “Tranny Man” from his friends because of his work with vehicle transmissions. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Marie and Judy, brothers Robert and Ron.  Raymond is survived by his wife Renee of Braham, sisters Betty of Alaska, Laura and Virginia both of Sauk Centre as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
