Randy Allan Hill Jr., of St. Francis, MN passed away on July 1, 2024 at home surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 2, 1993, Randy's 30 years were marked by an abundance of kindness, thoughtfulness, and intelligence that touched the lives of everyone he met.
Randy was a proud graduate of St Francis High School, class of 2012, where his remarkable photographic memory became evident to his teachers and peers. His exceptional ability led him to a successful career as a machinist at Northland Screw Products Inc., where he was known for his precision and skill. Randy's talents extended beyond his professional life, as he was often called upon by friends and family for his uncanny ability to recall even the smallest details.
A man of many passions, Randy's love for life was infectious. He cherished the times spent with friends, riding ATVs through the Minnesota landscape. Music, laughter, and good company were the hallmarks of a typical evening around the fire with Randy, especially when it involved fireworks, where he would put on a show that left everyone in awe. His love for trucks was more than a hobby; it was a part of who he was from a very young age. At just two years old, Randy was already helping his dad change oil, showcasing the deep-rooted love for fixing and working on them that would stay with him throughout his life.
Randy's big heart and selflessness were evident to all. He was always the first to offer help, a testament to his caring nature. His preference for peace over conflict, and his serene demeanor, brought a calming presence to any room. His love for the outdoors was a reflection of his inner tranquility, and he found solace in the simple joys of nature.
Preceded in death by his great grandparents Harry & Harriet Orttel, grandfather Edward McKnight Sr., and uncles Edward McKnight Jr. and Russell Wirtz, Randy's legacy is carried on by his loving parents, Randy Sr. and Patricia Hill of St. Francis; his brother Ryan Hill, also of St. Francis; his grandparents Randy and Debbie Hill of Oak Grove, and Susan McKnight of Sandstone. His memory will also be cherished by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and a multitude of friends whose lives he enriched.
To know Randy was to know a man who was the epitome of kindness, thoughtfulness, and intelligence. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to inspire. Randy Hill's life may have been cut short, but the impact he made on the world will endure for generations to come.
Randy Allan Hill Jr.'s life was a beacon of joy and generosity, and his departure leaves a void that cannot be filled. Yet, in our sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that his story is not one of loss, but one of a life lived fully, with every moment cherished and every relationship treasured. Randy's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the indelible mark he left on every life he touched.
I’m There Inside Your Heart – Anonymous
Right now I’m in a different place
And though we seem far apart
I’m closer than I ever was…
I’m there inside your heart
I’m with you when you greet each day
And when the sun shines bright
I’m there to share the sunsets, too…
I’m with you every night
I’m with you when the times are good,
To share a laugh or two,
And if a tear should start to fall…
I’ll still be there for you.
And when the day arrives
That we no longer are apart
I’ll smile and hold you close to me…
Forever in my heart.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1-4PM, with a short service at 3:30PM Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.
