Paul A. Harms, age 71, of Minneapolis, MN. Passed away Sunday, April 15, 2023 at Providence Place in Minneapolis.
Paul was born March 19, 1952, the son of Sam and Inez (Benson) Harms in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota.
He graduated from Blooming Prairie High School in 1970. He went on to meat cutting school in Pipestone and worked at the Super Value grocery store in Blooming Prairie. On March 28, 1972, Paul enlisted into the US Air Force. Paul earned the rank of Sergeant and was honorably discharged October 27, 1976. He was an airplane mechanic in the Air Force and could fix anything electronic and technical. When he returned home from the service, he was employed by Control Data and later, General Mills.
Paul loved spending time outdoors with his many siblings, nephews and nieces. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and loved working with food.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Sam and Inez Harms; sisters Sonya Myers, Mary Grace and brother Dr. Jim Harms.
He is survived by brothers Sam Jr. (Judi) Harms, Gaylen (Betty) Harms and Tom (Becky) Harms; sisters Sylvia Vavra, Thelma (Dave) Hoeldtke, Georgia McDougal, Judy (Jim) Burns, Sue Harms, Sally (Dave) Chapman, Lois (John) Durfey and sister- in-law Dr. Kim Harms, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Memorial Service 11AM, Friday, April 21, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Cambridge. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment in Cambridge Union Cemetery with Military Honors prior to the service.
