Patricia Ann Mitchell of Cambridge died peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 at Cambridge Medical Center at the age of 72.
She was born on September 12, 1951 to John and Lucille (Quick) Mitchell, Sr in Minneapolis, MN. Over the years she lived in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Texas. Then, after years living on her own in Texas she came to Cambridge, MN to live closer to her one and only brother “Johnny” and his family. Her family loved her dearly and while she lived a hard and private life, one thing never wavered and that was her love of God and her love for her family.
Patricia is preceded in death by her father John Mitchell Sr., her mother Lucille (Quick) Mitchell. She is survived by her brother John (Betty) Mitchell, Jr of North Branch; Niece Tracey Mitchell-Nelson and fiancé Jeff Roath of Lino Lakes; Nephews Brian (Kate) Mitchell of Forest Lake, Nathan (Jarah) Mitchell of North Branch; Great nephews Joshua Nelson of Lakeville, Brayden Nelson of East Bethel, Riley Nelson and fiancée Mackie Torma of Lino Lakes, and Jack Mitchell of North Branch; Great Nieces Allyson, Olivia and Lauren Mitchell of Forest Lake, Taylor Nelson of Lino Lakes; and other extended family and friends.
Special thank you to the Ashland Apartments and her neighbors who friended and watched out for her; to Cambridge Medical Center and the amazing staff that cared for her in her final hours. Rosa, Bobbie, Renee and others, thank you. Each of you treated and cared for her with the utmost respect and dignity. Our family cannot thank you enough; to Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home for your help and care for her; and all those who along the way showed love to her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 11:00AM with visitation one hour prior at St. Gregory’s the Great Catholic Church, North Branch; Interment following at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, North Branch, followed by a light lunch at St. Gregory’s.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Food Shelf, Shalom Thrift Shop or Family Pathways in Cambridge, MN.
