Norman Earl Johnson

Norman Earl Johnson age 65 of Minneapolis formerly of North Branch, MN passed away peacefully at Hennepin County Medical Center on January 26, 2024.

He was born on October 31, 1958, in Cambridge, MN to Merlyn and Ruth (Larson) Johnson.

Norman lived in assisted living most of his adult life, so he very much enjoyed his frequent visits to his parents at the family farm where they would play card games and Mexican dominoes.  He enjoyed fishing and camping; and loved holiday Scandinavian foods like lutefisk, kroppkakor, and lefse (he took his with butter and sugar).

He was preceded in death by his brothers Gordon and Wayne, his father Merlyn (parents Allie Korpi and Adolph Johnson), and his mother Ruth Johnson (parents Jensena Jacobson and Olaf Larson).

Norman is survived by his brother Larry Johnson of Phoenix, AZ, his nieces Emily, Sydney and Alida, great nephews James and Benjamin (children of Sydney and Brian Phelps), as well as many special friends.

Memorials may be directed to Spring Lake Lutheran Church.

Memorial Service 11AM, Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Spring Lake Lutheran Church.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment in the church cemetery.
