Myron Eugene Elsberry, 80, of Cambridge, MN, died tragically in an auto accident and entered into God’s Kingdom on December 27, 2023 in New London, MN.
Myron was born on May 14th, 1942, to Myron Allan & Marian Maude Elsberry.
After graduating from the Clearmont High School, he joined the US Marine Corps and served in the Vietnam War. After serving his country he worked on the farm. In 1970, he moved to Cambridge with his parents. He worked as a cement worker and tried his hand in over the road trucking. Myron found his dream job with the Minneapolis Park Board. He worked at an ice rink, serving hot chocolate, cleaned skates, and made ice rings. Later, he was transferred to a golf course to perform lawn maintenance. This is where he found his love for golf. Myron met his soulmate, Sandi, and were together for 18 years.
Myron enjoyed woodworking, playing golf, hunting, fishing,spending time with family, and cards; he met his match in cribbage with his great nephew, Corbin. Myron made many trips with family to Florida, Illinois, Wyoming, the Black Hills and the cabin. Myron was part of the Curling Club, the Legionnaires, and the 49ers. He was the Commander of the Cambridge American Legion Post #290 for a while where he was a member.
Myron was a truly great man whose impact will be forever felt by his family, that loves him dearly. He was a selfless man whose passing left an unfillable gap in the hearts of his loved ones.
Myron leaves behind 2 nieces and 3 nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, brother, 1 great nephew and Sandi.
