Mickie R. (Turnvall) Tulp

Mickie Rae Tulp, 75, passed away unexpectedly at her home on August 15, 2025, in Princeton, MN. Born on February 18, 1950, in Braham, MN, to Laverne and Shirley (Lindell) Turnvall.

Mickie's early years were deeply rooted in the North Branch community, where she attended local schools and graduated from North Branch High School in 1968. The Golden Nugget Cafe in Cambridge, owned by her parents, was where Mickie first honed her impeccable work ethic and people skills. Her career path led her to the K-Bob Cafe, managing the Pine Brook Restaurant, and eventually, she became the proud owner of Squeakin Clean Cleaning Service. She retired at the age of 73.

She married John Tulp on July 6, 1996, in Princeton. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, shared interests, and mutual support.

Her canning skills were unmatched, and her love for shopping was a testament to her passion for fashion and pride in her appearance. Her adventurous spirit led her on exciting trips to destinations like Vegas and Utah. She was especially fond of the casino, where she was known to be quite lucky and always appreciated a good free coupon. Live music brought a sparkle to her eye, and she could often be found tapping her feet to the beat of her favorite tunes. Her love for live music often found her tapping her feet or humming along to a tune.

Mickie's memory will be lovingly carried on by her husband, John Tulp; daughter, Jennifer Larsen of Minneapolis; stepchildren, Amy Tulp (Dylan Howard) of Cambridge, and Steve (Heidi) Tulp of Princeton. She was the adored grandmother to seven grandchildren, Andrew (Jenny) Tulp, Ryan (Katie) Tulp, Jon (Azucena Nava) Tulp, Derek (Destiny) Tulp, Brennan Butler, Sara Butler, and Jaxson Rodrigues, and the great-grandmother to John, Raleigh, Maddilynn, and Wendell. Her brother, Jeff Turnvall of Mora, sister-in-law, Mitzi Turnvall of North Branch, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends will forever treasure her memory.

Memorial Service 1PM, Friday, September 12, 2025 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.  Visitation one hour before the service.
