Marjorie Pearl McKinney (Wilkes), 92, of Cambridge, formerly of Maple Grove and McGregor passed away August 31, 2025 at Ecumen in North Branch.
She was born January 31, 1933 in Wahkon, Minnesota to W. Ray and Ruth (Birkeland) Wilkes. Marjorie graduated from McGregor High School in 1951. In 1955 she was united in marriage to William McKinney, to this union six children were born. They moved to New England where he was stationed in the Navy. They returned to Minnesota and would make their home in Barnum and Carlton before moving to Maple Grove.
Marjorie worked various jobs including a graphic artist, at a small-town newspaper and publishing house as well as in childcare. She was a member of Corcoran United Methodist Church and McGregor United Methodist Church. Marjorie enjoyed her pet dogs and cats, drawing and reading.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband William in January 2012, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her children Colleen McKinney of Mora, Scott McKinney of Mora, Kathy Webster (Linda Coffin) of Minneapolis, Shonna McKinney Jones of San Antonio, TX, Mary Rae (Bill) Booth of Hopkinsville, KY, Michael (Amy Mahannah) McKinney of St. Louis Park, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service 2PM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 1:30.
