Marie Smith Obituary
Marie N. Smith “Cookie”, age 72 of Braham, formerly of Stanchfield, passed away peacefully at her home at Elmhurst Commons on February 8, 2024.
She was preceded in death by her parents Byron & Lorraine Johnson, husband Glenn Smith Jr.; sister Kathy Bittman, brother Jim “Jimmy” Johnson and her beloved furry friend Peeko.
Marie is survived by her children Brandy Smith and Jesse Smith; grandchildren Brandon Eggen, Brooklyn Eggen, Leslie Duran, Olivia LeVoir, Jayla Schwarzkoph, Jace Schwarzkopf, Hazel and Holden Smith; great-grandchild Asher Svor, nieces Tina Bittman and Ashley Johnson; nephew Jeffrey Johnson.
Cookie enjoyed being with her family, making friends at Wal-Mart as a greeter. She loved playing bingo, especially if she won. She really liked spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild Asher. She surrounded herself with collection of various beloved objects that made her feel comfortable, while watching her favorite TV shows.
A Celebration of Cookie’s life will be in the Spring. Information will be posted when available..
