Margaret Mae (Treichel) Wentworth

Margaret Mae Wentworth, age 97, of Cambridge, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 12, 2026.

Margaret was born on July 30, 1928, in Isanti County, Minnesota, to Albert and Iva (Lund) Treichel. She grew up in Cambridge and attended Cambridge schools. On March 6, 1948, she was united in marriage to Glenn Wentworth at Cambridge Lutheran Church. Together they shared a loving marriage and built a life centered on faith, family, and service to others.

Margaret was a hardworking and dedicated employee throughout her life and was especially known for her caring and compassionate nature. She devoted many years to serving others and volunteered with Cambridge Hospice for approximately 35 years, touching countless lives through her kindness and generosity.

Family was the center of Margaret’s life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and caregiver who found her greatest joy in caring for those she loved. Her unwavering love, gentle spirit, and selfless heart will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Wentworth in 2007; sons, Dean Wentworth in 2013 and Douglas Wentworth in 2024; her parents, Albert and Iva Treichel; grandson, Joel Wentworth and brother Wendell Treichel.

She is survived by her son David, daughter-in-law, Carol Wentworth; grandchildren, Joy Thompson (Randy), Nicole Hartung, Nicholas Wentworth, and Jackie Downing (James); great grandchildren, Weston Hartung, Max Hartung, Cooper Hartung, and Miranda Thompson; along with many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Cambridge Lutheran Church in Cambridge. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment in Cambridge Union Cemetery.
