Marcia Lynn Laase, 70, of North Branch passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home.
Looking back on the memory of the dance we shared beneath the star above. For a moment all the world was right, how could I have known you’d ever say goodbye.- Garth Brooks
Marcia Lynn Laase of North Branch, died Wednesday, Oct. 25th, 2023, at her home with her husband Dale by her side.
Marcia was born January 1st, 1953, to Walter and Arlene Schwartz in Minneapolis, MN. The only Daughter, Marcia grew up with three brothers Randy, Jon, and Trent. Marcia attended grade schools in Fridley. Eventually, the family moved to Andover where she attended high school in Anoka. Marcia’s zest for life included hanging out with friends, listening to music, and chasing a farm boy from Cambridge. Marcia declared herself graduated and married that small town farm boy.
On November 14, 1970, Marcia married Dale Laase at a small church in Fridley. They soon found themselves with a small family and moved to Cambridge. Marcia spent her life as a devoted mom and wife. Marcia said raising her three children was the “best part of her life”.
Once the kids were raised Dale and Marcia started a new adventure. Together they started a business, Imperial Concrete Pumping out of Forest Lake. Business boomed and eventually Dale built their dream log home on 60 acres in North Branch. With Marcia's decorating skills the house soon became a home for their family.
Marcia is survived by her husband Dale Laase, sons Casey (Machelle) Laase, Corey (Nicole) Laase and her daughter Rendy Miller all of Cambridge. Brothers Jon (Joan) Schwartz, of North Branch, and Trent (Laura) Schwartz of Backus, MN. Her six precious grand children Cason, Cooper, Broc, Brayden, Preston and Austyn.
Marcia was preceded in death by her father and mother (Walter and Arlene Schwartz) and older brother Randy Schwartz.
The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for comforting Marcia her last few days. The family would also like to thank most importantly, Rendy, Marcia’s daughter, for her sacrifices, compassion and love filled care to our mom over the years. It could not have been replicated.
And now I’m glad I didn’t know the way it all would end. The way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain. But I’d of had to miss The Dance. – Garth Brooks
