Marc Lewis Buckner

Marc Lewis Buckner, age 48, of Cambridge, MN, passed away unexpectedly at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids on August 22, 2025 after a brief battle with lung cancer.

He was born August 13, 1977 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Robert and Jeanette (Garrison) Buckner.  Marc grew up in St. Paul and White Bear Lake, where he graduated from White Bear Lake High School – South Campus in 1996.

Marc was a great man who loved being a dad.  He loved being there for his family, watching wrestling and football.  His team was the Seahawks; he cheered as loud as he could and yelled while watching the game.  He loved fishing, camping, gambling and the outdoors.  He will be deeply missed by many but never forgotten.  His love and kindness will carry on.

He met Angela (Bellefeuille) Alsen in 2001 and they were married September 15, 2007 in Ham Lake.  Angela’s daughter Cloe and their son Alexsander completed their family.  They made their home in Blaine, and moved to Cambridge in 2013.  Marc and Angela were separated in 2024.  He met Angelica Kunkel who was by his side until his passing.

Marc was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Jeanette Buckner; daughter Cloe Alsen.

He is survived by his wife Angela Buckner, girlfriend Angelica Kunkel; sons Alexsander (Cierra Fisher) and Patrick Murphey; granddaughter Alexandria Murphey

Marc is also survived by his siblings Timothy (Cheryl) Buckner, Alicia (Steven) Cromey; niece Elizabeth Buckner; nephews Quinn and William Buckner, Michael Gilbey; great-niece Trinity Buckner and great-nephew Ronin Buckner.

Celebration of Life Gathering 3-6PM, Friday, October 3, 2025 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.  Sharing time at 5PM.
