Lance O. Edwardh

On Monday, June 29, 2020, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and fiercely loyal friend to many, Lance Otto Edwardh, 62, of Cambridge, MN, passed peacefully from this life to his eternal home and rest in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Lance was born on August 21, 1957, in Long Beach, CA, to the late Earl and Megan Edwardh. He married Cathy O’Dell on August 15, 1987, and had four step-children he loved dearly as his own, along with six grandchildren whom he cherished. He was very proud of them all and boasted about them whenever given a listening ear. He loved spending time and catching up by phone with family and friends across the U.S. and Canada, being a doting son to his late mother Megan, helping neighbors who fast became friends, watching football and rooting loudly for his beloved Minnesota Vikings, listening and singing to music especially his favorite band Bad Company, listening to bingo-winning stories from his older sister Daune, sticking like glue and a shadow to his older brother Barry until his passing in 2010, relentlessly picking on his younger sibling Judy and spending time with them all and his in-laws, niece and nephews and their families.

Most of his adult life, he worked as an independently-contracted roofer in Washington state, Minnesota and Florida, and possessed a very dedicated work ethic as such until disabilities including loss of vision left him no longer able to do so. For several years following, he became a personal care attendant for and developed lifelong, cherished friendships with his clients. Lance possessed a very generous and caring spirit, desire to help anyone he could, and a fun-loving, playful and kidding nature. Despite several physical ailments, he worked hard to stay positive and uplift those around him.

Family left to cherish his memory include his wife of 33 years Cathy, four stepchildren Sheila (O’Dell) Warnke (Brian) of Mounds View, MN and their daughter Maisy; Michael O’Dell (Samantha) of Chisago City, MN and their two sons, Gideon and Griffin; Kevin O’Dell (Julie) of Wyoming, MN, and their sons, Declan and Nixon; and Billy O’Dell of Burnsville, MN, and his daughter Chloe; sister Daune Biggins (Stoney) of Cambridge, MN; Judy Black (Mark) of Thomasville, NC, sister-in-law Sue Edwardh (Tom) of Cambridge, MN, niece Tasha Edwardh of Pendleton, IN, and nephews Jeff Edwardh (Lori) of Coon Rapids, MN, and daughters, Shiloh, Jenoah and Ayden, and Steven Avre (Dawn) of Coon Rapids, MN, and sons Dylan, Tanner and Josh.

Anyone who would like to may make a memorial in his name to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 11 AM - 2 PM, Sunday, July 19, 2020 at Golden Lake Park - Pavilion 2, 67 West Golden Lake Road, Circle Pines, MN
