It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ken Snyder, who left this world on April 21, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on July 2, 1960, to Rosalie A. and Harry J. Snyder, in St. Paul, MN. Ken lived a life full of adventure, love, and cherished friendships.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Frank and Helen Urman; his sister-in-law, Mary Lou Snyder; brother-in-law, Joe Christiansen; brother, Keith Snyder, and the love of his life, Barbie Coons. His loyal cherished dog, Rosie, crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving a special place in Ken's heart. He is survived by his loving sisters; Terry Christiansen and Barbara Snyder; brothers, Scott Snyder and Greg Snyder. Ken was a proud father to his son; Michael Swenson an adoring uncle to nephew George Christiansen. He also leaves behind countless friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and two other children who will all hold precious memories of him in their hearts.
Ken lived a life filled with genuine passion for the outdoors. He found joy in snowmobiling, riding motorcycles, four-wheeling, fishing, and hunting—activities that brought him closer to nature and allowed him to share unforgettable moments with friends and family.
His adventurous spirit was matched only by his laid-back demeanor, often seen in his staple attire of Levi’s and a good T-shirt.
Though Ken never married, he shared a life-long partnership with the love of his life, Barbie Coons. Their bond transcended words, and while her passing left a profound void in his life, the memories they created together remained a source of strength and solace for him.
While the loss of Ken leaves a significant ache in our hearts, we find comfort in knowing that he is reunited with loved ones who have gone before him. Ken Snyder was a man of many words but immense love, a friend to many, and a devoted family member. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his free spirit and the laughter he brought into our lives. Rest in peace, dear Ken.
