Kenneth Francis Smersh

Kenneth F. Smersh age 64 of Isanti, MN passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2023 at his home.

Ken was born on September 21, 1959 to Clement and Donna Mae in Anoka, MN.  He grew up in Oak Grove, MN and attended school in St. Francis, graduating in 1978.  He went onto the University of Minnesota, graduating in 1982 with an engineering degree.  He was a member of the Triangle fraternity.

After graduation, he started his career with Bladholm. He switched careers and started working with his good friend in the plumbing business. He found the plumbing business to be to his liking and decided to start his own  highly successful business, KFS Plumbing.    He obtained his Master plumbers License in 2002.  He continued to work even as health diminished.

During his free time, he loved to landscape his property.  He collected interesting rocks while he dug in the dirt. A good leisurely ride on his custom Soft-Tail Harley was a great way to unwind. Ken loved his music loud and was always interested in the history behind a good conspiracy.

His passion was going to the local casinos to test his luck on the electronic black-jack machines. But most of all, he loved his family and friends.  His knowledge and kinship will be greatly missed.

Ken is survived by Sharleen Paulson; children Tanya Smersh (Ricky Wirz), Chad (Courtney) Smersh, Clint Paulson and son-in-law Tom Wagner; grandchildren Branton, Leighton and Winter Wagner; Kehlani Wirz, Kayanna, Hayden-Mae and Brayden Smersh; Jude, Immaculate and Beckett Paulson.  Siblings Linda (Mark) Benton, Cheryl Smersh (Mike Plzak) and Liana (Dale) Muller and many nieces, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Timothy and Ronald.

Celebration of Life visitation will be held  from 4-7 PM Sunday  January 7 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home  311 S. Ashland St. Cambridge, MN 763-689-2244.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
