Kathleen H. (Mattes) Jarmoluk

Kathleen Helen Jarmoluk, age 89, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully at home on August 11, 2024.  Kay was born August 30, 1934 in Stanley, WI to Douglas and Sarah (Wiskerchen) Mattes.  Kay attended high school in Gilman, WI where she graduated in 1952. She met her husband Tony Jarmoluk in high school 76 years ago and were married 67 years ago.

Kay and Tony moved to Elk River, MN in 1960.  She was a loyal member of St. Andrews Catholic Church.  She worked as a dental assistant at her husband's dental practice, Elk River Dental Office. Kay then dedicated her life to raising her family of six children.  She remained devoted to her family as "Mema" to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Kay enjoyed traveling, shopping, entertaining and spending time with her family.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents Sarah and Douglas Mattes, brother Bill, sister Lois Dalin and son-in-law Mark Eriksson.  Kay is survived by her husband Dr. Tony Jarmoluk, six children; Doug Jarmoluk, Scott (Patti) Jarmoluk, Kris (Ed) Bury, Jeff (Sharon) Jarmoluk, Karla Eriksson and Curt (Julie) Jarmoluk, thirteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her sister Dianne (Clarence) Otto.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 12:30 PM at The Church of St. Andrew, 566 4th Ave NW Elk River, MN

Friends may gather one hour prior to Mass at the church.

Kathleen will be placed in her Niche at St. Andrew’s Parish Cemetery.
