Katherine "Kathy" E. (Falk) White

Katherine E. "Kathy" White, 59, of Cambridge died unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at CentraCare St. Cloud Hospital.

            She was born August 28, 1963 in Cambridge, Minnesota to Mary (Abrahamson) and Stuart Falk. She was baptized at Cambridge Lutheran and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti.  Kathy grew up in rural Isanti, attending grade school in Isanti and graduating from Cambridge High School in 1982.  After high school she attended Cambridge Community College for nursing.

            On December 10, 1983 she was united in marriage to Kenneth White at Faith Lutheran Church.  They would purchase 20 acres south of Isanti and live there for 1 ½ years.  In 1986 they purchased a farm house and 40 acres in rural Cambridge.  They fixed up the house and raised their three children there. They then sold it along with 5 acres, moving a house to the property, and lived there to this day. 

            Kathy was a lifetime caregiver, at the age of 15 she began working at Cambridge Health Care Center, later Cambridge State Hospital and she worked at various group homes in the area.  Her health kept her from working the past several years, but Kathy was able to help with her grandchildren which was the highlight of her life.

            She enjoyed her horses and was quite involved in the horse world, taking her daughter Hannah throughout the state for various competitions.  Kathy was a good gardener, even though she didn’t really much care for it. 

            When the kids were growing up, their home was where all the kids’ friends would come. Kathy enjoyed all the kids and many considered her a second mom.  Kathy and Ken spent some years riding motorcycle with friends and family, making many memories along the way.

            She enjoyed spending time at their friend’s cabin near Alexandria, spending time fishing and with Ken.  Family was her greatest joy and she was the family coordinator for everything.

             She was preceded in death by father Stuart Falk, grandparents Robert and Ethel Abrahamson, Russell and Hilma Falk.

            Kathy is survived by her husband Ken, children Shawn (Brittany) White of Incline Village, NV, Ryan (Ashley) White of Maple Grove, Hannah (Ryan "Skippy") Snippen of Isanti, two grandchildren Sydnee and Kenidee Snippen, mother Mary Falk of Cambridge, sisters Julie (Brian) Nelson of Cambridge, Alison (Steve) Metzger of Cambridge, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

            Memorial Service 11AM, Monday, November 21, 2022 at Faith Lutheran Church in Isanti.  Visitation 1-4PM, Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment in Isanti Union Cemetery.
