She married David Culp, they had one son Tim and made their home in the Middle River area.  Following her divorce, Julie went on to marry Don Berggren and to them was born daughter Leslie.  The family lived for a time in Thief River Falls and later moved to Roseau.  She and Don would divorce.  Julie and Leslie moved to St. Paul.  Julie attended computer school at Control Data and she worked as a computer technician for a few years.  Computers just were not something she wanted to stay with so she got her truck driver’s license and began driving truck.  She eventually got into the Teamsters Union. Julie would be laid off in the winters and went to Roseau to spend time with her mother and stepfather.  She worked for Shafer Contracting and retired seven years ago.  In 2015 Julie bought a home in Cambridge.

She volunteered at the Cambridge Food Pantry; she enjoyed the company of the other volunteers as well as the many people she would meet.  Julie loved to go to the casino and going to thrift stores, always looking for the best deal.  She was always there for her family and never missed anything.  Julie loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Judy McInnis, aunt Wanda Bredeson, nephews Bo and Ian McInnis, brother-in-law Clay McInnis and great nephew Tucker Fuller.
