Judith E. (West) Frank

Judith (Judy) E. Frank, 81, of Cambridge, formerly of Webster, WI passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids on Wednesday, AUG 2, 2023.

Judy was born in Morris, MN to Beulah and Harry West on September 4, 1941. She went to Marshall High School and attended vocational school for cosmetology.

Judy married her high school sweetheart, Loren R. Frank on May 20, 1961 in Minneapolis. Loren was in the Army so they made their home in El Paso, Texas where they had their first son, Brett W. Frank, Sr. January 3, 1964. They then moved to Brooklyn Center where they had their 2nd son, Craig R Frank, January 19, 1967. After Brooklyn Center they moved to Brooklyn Park where they raised their sons and two grandsons.

Judy worked for American Family Insurance for 11 years as a secretary and H&R Block for 6 years as an office manager. In November, 2004 they moved to their family cabin in Webster, WI. They spent many years enjoying the lake views, and having family and friends gather.  In May of 2023 they moved to GracePointe Assisted Living facility to be closer to family.  

Judy was very involved with their church, Cross of Glory Lutheran Church in Brooklyn Center. Judy also spent 12 years volunteering with Loaves and Fishes organization in Minneapolis. After moving to Webster WI, Judy was very involved with their church, Bethany Lutheran in Siren WI. She also volunteered many hours with Ruby’s Pantry, Siren WI, Connections/Thrift Store in Webster, WI and GPS (God’s People Serving).

Judy enjoyed playing cards, doing jigsaw puzzles, sewing, gardening and spending time with family and friends especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ron West.

She is survived by her husband, Loren Frank of Cambridge; sons, Brett Frank, Sr. of Fredric, WI and Craig (Becky) Frank of Cambridge; sister Barb (Denny) Kugler of Annandale; sister-in-law Shannon (Ken) Kanan; nine grand-children, Steve (Sheri) Frank, Nick (Mary) Frank, Brett Frank, Jr., Crystal (John) Banasik, Michael Frank, Kathlyn (Isaac) Frank, Ricky Frank, Lucas Frank and Brady Frank; five great-grandchildren, Grace (Jaxson) Frank, Eli Frank, Isabella Frank, Charles Frank, Angela Banasik; nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service 2PM, Saturday, August 26, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Cambridge.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Minneapolis at a later date.
