Judith Arlene (Thompson) Teel

Judith Arlene Teel, age 84, of Pekin, IL, passed away on December 22, 2021 at Elim Nursing Home in Milaca, MN.  Judy was born in Peoria, IL to John “Jack” E. Thompson Jr. and Helen Iva (Sloan) Thompson on September 17, 1937.  She attended Sand Hill Grade School and then completed her education at Pekin High School.  She married Dean Allen in 1959 and they had two children together, Troy Dean Allen and Stacey Lynn Allen.   She later married Lee Teel in 1981.  Judy worked as a bank teller in Peoria, IL for 20 years and off and on at Patsy’s Bakery for several years.  She was involved in mother’s club, was a girl scout leader, helped head up junior bowling for children, enjoyed volunteering to provide pet therapy for seniors, and was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton.  She enjoyed card clubs, bus trips, making crafts and candy with family and friends, and participating in senior community activities.  Judy was preceded in death by her parents John E Thompson Jr. and Helen Iva (Sloan) Thompson, as well as her son Troy Dean Allen.  Judy is survived by her daughter Stacey (Allen) Fredrickson of MN, brother Richard (Jerri) Thompson, grandchildren Ian Allen, Steven Fredrickson, Elizabeth Fredrickson, and Abigail Fredrickson as well as nephews, great nephews, great nieces, and friends.  Memorials may be given to St Jude. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, January 29th, 2022 in the mausoleum at Glendale Gardens Cemetery in Pekin, IL.  Luncheon to immediately follow at Bethel Lutheran Church in Morton, Illinois.
