John Slater Obituary
John S. Slater, 77, of Cambridge, MN passed away on January 9, 2025 at GracePointe Crossing.
He was born June 28, 1947 in Mora, Minnesota to Nathan and Charlotte (Nyberg) Slater. John grew up in the Cambridge area and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1965.
John worked various jobs over the years and retired from King Shipping.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, brothers Charles, Tommy and Duane Slater, and sister Judy Ziebarth.
John is survived by sons David (Jill) Slater of Cambridge, Eric (Tracey) Skalbeck of Eveleth, Mark (Laura) Skalbeck of Coon Rapids, Dean (Kathy) Skalbeck of OK; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters-in-law Marie Slater of Cambridge and Karen Slater of TX, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life gathering 3-6PM, Friday, January 24, 2025 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.
