Jodi G. Moore

Jodi G. Moore, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Cambridge, MN, at the age of 56. Born on August 8, 1968, in Coon Rapids, MN, to Jeffrey and Jennifer (Jacobs) Rootes.

She was a graduate of Elk River High School, Class of 1986. Her passion for helping others led her to pursue a career in nursing, and in 1996, she earned her Nursing Degree from Anoka Ramsey Community College. Jodi's professional journey was marked by her dedication to care and compassion, as she worked as a manager nurse at Cambridge Health Care Center and later served as the director of nursing at Camilia Rose in Coon Rapids.

On December 8, 2007, Jodi's heart found its match when she married Edward Moore, at Cambridge Lutheran Church.

Jodi's love for animals was profound, and she opened her heart and home to several rescued and adopted pets over the years. She found great joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as making a batch of salsa, reading a novel, tending to her vegetable and flower gardens or baking.

Jodi's life was further enriched by her role as a mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Edward; three children, Vanessa (Simon) Thunstrom of Isanti, Tony (Amanda) Meyer of St. Michael, and Travis Meyer of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Olivia, Courtney, Hailey, Charlotte, and Owen, who brought immeasurable joy to her life, and she cherished every moment spent watching them grow.

She also leaves behind her brothers, Jason (Vicki) Rootes of Montrose and Justin (Molly) Rootes of Shakopee, as well as her beloved grandmother, Geri Rootes of Elk River. Jodi's gentle soul and thoughtful nature touched the lives of many other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.
