Jeffrey L. Laugerman, 67, of North Branch, formerly of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 13, 2021 after a 22 year battle with Ataxia.
He was born on September 16, 1954 in Moose Lake, Minnesota to Dolores and Glen Laugerman.
Jeffrey graduated from Osseo High School in 1972. He played on the varsity high school hockey team. He set the school record for the most penalty minutes served.
In 1976 Jeffrey married LuWayne Cogswell and from that union, a son named Ryan Lee was born in 1977. Later, after an amicable separation, Jeffrey married Janey Schenk and from that union a daughter Jasmine Lee was born in 1988.
Jeffrey worked for 25 years as a mechanic at many Goodyear shops throughout the Twin cities northern suburbs, finally retiring from the Blaine location.
His favorite hobby was rebuilding classic cars. He was a “Mopar Man” showing his 1967 Dodge Coronet RT at many car shows and winning numerous trophies. When he wasn’t “turning a wrench’ he was keeping himself busy attending to the many cats and dogs that he loved.
He is survived by his children; Ryan Laugerman (fiancé Brianna Peel) and Jasmine (Michael) Snell and his grand fur babies.
Also survived by his brothers Tyrone (Gail) Laugerman and Lonny Laugerman; sister Suzette (James) Forrer and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
