Jeffery Alfred Spohn, 70, of Andover died unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in Coon Rapids.
He was born May 27, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Alfred and June (Beckman) Spohn. Jeff grew up in Anoka and graduated from Anoka High School in 1969.
On May 16, 1970 he married Pamela Duerr at Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka. They lived for a time in Anoka before moving to Ramsey where they raised their three children. Jeff and Pam later divorced.
Jeff worked over 20 years at Grosslein Beverage where he was warehouse manager, and later for Old Dominion Trucking. He retired two years ago.
Jeff was a member of a running club and ran over 20 marathons in his life. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, duck hunting, and especially loved running marathons. Jeff was a hard worker, and helped out others in any way he could. He was quiet, reserved and had a good sense of humor. He met Patti Hadtrath and they spent 20 wonderful years together and they especially enjoyed their time spent together and their trips to the North Shore.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Jeff is survived by his spouse Patti Hadtrath of Andover, daughters Cheryl (Sean) Novack of Coon Rapids, Michelle (Doug) Melberg of Fleming Island, FL, son Phillip (Breanne) Spohn of Rosemount, daughters Lindsay (Ethan) Keller of Edina, Ashley Hadtrath of Coon Rapids, grandchildren, Maddie and Libby Melberg, Ian Novack, Greyson and Landon Keller, brother Terry Spohn (Carol) of Maple Grove, sister Patricia (Gary) Hallen of Ft. Myers, FL, former spouse Pamela Spohn, and many other relatives and friends.
