Gerald LeRoy Robinson, age 96, of Cambridge, MN, formerly of LaCrosse, WI, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at his home on February 5, 2026.
Gerald was born on September 29, 1929, in LaCrosse, WI, to Loyal and Margaret Robinson. He attended grade school and eventually graduated from Central High School in LaCrosse, WI. Shortly after graduation, Gerald enlisted in the US Army. He was stationed in Japan and Germany as a Military Police Officer. He served for 4 years and was honorably discharged. He returned to his hometown to marry his high-school sweetheart, Arline Mae Galstad, in Caledonia, MN. They made their home in LaCrosse, WI, and Gerald was employed at Trane Company until his retirement. After retiring, Gerald and Arline hit-the-road in their new RV, traveling the American South, enjoying country music and great food. After their extensive traveling, they decided to settle-down close to their children. It just so happened that some of their children were living in Cambridge, MN, and so they decided to make Cambridge as their new home. Gerald and Arline were able to really enjoy being grandparents and great-grandparents. Spoiling them “rotten”.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Arline; daughter-in-law Marilyn Robinson; and granddaughter Jill Robinson.
He is survived by his children, Jerry (Diane) Robinson, Pam Robinson, Nancy (Larry) Hofschulte, Karen (John) Lodico, and David Robinson; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and his sister, Donna (Jim) Pangier.
Private burial. No services are currently scheduled.
