Gayle Charlotte (Thomasen) Green

Gayle Charlotte Green, age 86, of Milaca, Minnesota, formerly of Cambridge, passed away peacefully at her home on June 22, 2026, surrounded by her family and friends.

Gayle was born on July 14, 1939, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Arden and Edna (Thomasen). She grew up in Northeast Minneapolis and graduated from Edison High School with the Class of 1957.

Shortly after graduation, Gayle met the love of her life, Gary Green. They were united in marriage on June 28, 1958, and shared 67 years of marriage before Gary's passing on September 28, 2025.

Gayle worked at Cambridge Elementary School from 1972 to 1978. She enjoyed gardening and bowling and found great joy in nature and the wildlife that visited her property. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gary; granddaughter, Kaija Green; grandson, Charlie Hanson; and brother, Arden Thomasen.

Gayle is lovingly remembered by her children, Allan (Denise) Green, Brian (Vikki) Green, and Lynn (Ed) Hanson; grandchildren, Nick (Heidi) Green, Andy (Kady) Green, Ben (Nichole) Green, Emily (Rick) Weeks, Courtney Hanson, and Heather Hanson; great-grandchildren, Carson, Gavin, Wyatt, Sawyer, Dawson, Shiloh, Makayla, and Kennidee Green; Keegan, Coralyn, Rikson, Lexi, Emilyo, Aryan, and Carmella Weeks; Piper, Leighton, Tucker, Tate, and Lawson Connor; and Laken Peterfeso.

She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
