Gary Alan Stanlake, 57, of Isanti, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 5th, 2024 in Warroad, MN.
Gary was born January 13, 1967 to Gary and Mary Stanlake. Gary grew up in Coon Rapids, MN and graduated from Coon Rapids High school in 1985. Gary spent many of his working years driving truck and doing deliveries which allowed him to interact with many people – something Gary truly enjoyed because he loved bringing laughter and fun everywhere he went. Gary had a love for food, especially grilling, and was able to turn that passion into a career, working at many restaurants over the years. He loved a good grilled steak and took a lot of pride in grilling and cooking for his family and friends.
Gary had a great sense of humor. He always had a big smile and loved to make people laugh. He loved to fish and be outdoors. He enjoyed shooting pool, playing softball and dancing the night away. He also loved to play cards and enjoyed a trip to the casino – whatever Gary did he wanted to be interacting with people. People inspired Gary and he enjoyed spending time with others. He was an amazing person who was there for anyone at any time. His smile and large personality will be greatly missed by the people who knew and loved him.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents Gary and Mary Stanlake, Grandparents Frank and Emma Stanlake and John and Mary Belfiori and his aunts Trish Patten and Carol Belfiori
He is survived by his children Cody Stanlake (Katie), Kennedy Stanlake, Grandchildren Jasper, Sawyer, Shelby and Elaina, Sister Jill Moody (Ron) and Jodi Stanlake, aunts and uncles and many nieces and their families as well as many cousins and his life partner Jeneile Meier and her children Jayden Meier and Bella Anderson as well as Jeneile’s loving Ziebarth family.
There will be a private service for family.
All are welcome to celebrate and remember Gary’s life on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 4:30 pm – 7:00 pm at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge, Minnesota.
