Esther Bellvadine Molby was called home on March 25, 2020 at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge, Minnesota.
She was born in Hartford, South Dakota on July 2, 1927 and was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith in the Lutheran Church Synod, of which she was a lifelong member. In 1933, she and her family moved to the Sandstone, Minnesota area. After graduating from Sandstone High School, Esther worked for the telephone company and at the local theater. On February 7, 1953, she was united in marriage to Arnold Molby of Askov, Minnesota. They moved to Minneapolis and eventually to St. Paul. She held many part-time jobs during her life.
Esther was a very loving aunt to many, many nieces and nephews. She loved making quilts and most of these amazing quilts were given away to people she loved. Arnold and Esther enjoyed traveling and visited all 50 states, including Hawaii and Alaska.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnold of 62 years, brother Marren Velau, sister Viola Lundeen (Velau), nephew Dale Lundeen and nieces Esther and Cindy.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
A joint Memorial Service for Esther and Arnold will be held at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 11 am. Interment at Long Lake Community Cemetery will follow the service. A reception/gathering will take place at Sunrise on Englund Shores in Isanti after the interment.
