Eleanor "Ellie" Ellen Erbele, 84, courageously passed into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ, on Monday, December 11, 2023 at Ecumen in North Branch.
She was born August 31, 1939 in Valley City, North Dakota to Wesley and Mary (Scott) Kelly.
Ellie lived in Minneapolis and enjoyed a vibrant career as an interior designer at Helen Fraser and Associates located at International Market Square.
Later in life she moved back to Cambridge where her girls were raised. She lived in Pine Village and enjoyed her flower gardens immensely. She changed careers and worked for many years in the kitchen at Cambridge Medical Center as a dietary aide. She was enthusiastic, energetic and brought a sparkle everywhere she went.
The last ten years she lived her life to the fullest at Elmhurst Commons in Braham where Sharon Murphy, and so many others, treated her with love and dignity. Ellie loved expressing her creativity with interior decorating, fashion, drawing her famous cartoons and painting flowers, which she dove into despite the challenges of Parkinson’s disease.
Ellie, known to her family as “Granny”, brought a fun flare to all her loved ones, all the way down to her great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and two infant grandchildren.
Ellie is survived by her daughters Kelly (Ray) KinCannon of Stacy, Kim Kelly of Cambridge, grandchildren Brittany (Josh) Fedder of North Branch, Tiffany (Erin) Hall of Harris, Trista (Troy) Pleski of Stacy, Kellianne KinCannon of AK, Brandon (Brittany) Anderson of WA, Jordan (Wakako) Nishimura-Anderson of Minneapolis, McKenzie Bitzer of Grasston, seven great grandchildren plus bonus great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
A Private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date
