Dr. Francis Abraham Obituary
Dr. Francis Abraham, age 79 of Minneapolis formerly of Cambridge, MN., passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024. He was a surgeon at Cambridge Medical Center since 2016.
Dr. Francis was born on September 27, 1944 in Kerala, India. He received his primary medical degree in India. He obtained his specialist degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, UK and Ireland, then went on to additional training in Roosevelt Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo, New York. Dr. Francis started his career in Oklahoma. After a few years, he moved to Cambridge, MN in 2016 to work as a general surgeon at Cambridge Medical Center.
Dr. Francis and his wife Sophia made their home in Cambridge, raising their two children; Dr. Praveen Francis Abraham and Dr. Assunta Anasooya Abraham, husband Paul Gruber. They are blessed with two grandsons Arjun and Manu.
He is also survived by 4 brothers and 5 sisters and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; most residing in India with the exception of one sister living in California.
A Public Visitation will be held from 6-7:30PM, Monday, March 4, 2024 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home.
Services will be private.
