Douglas Allen Szczech

Douglas A Szczech age 61 of Harris passed away unexpectedly at his cabin on November 14, 2021.

Douglas was born on November 12, 1960 to Albert & Deloris Szczech in Mpls, MN.

Shortly after his birth, Douglas’s family moved to Harris, MN. He attended Cambridge schools.  He worked for Dennis Kirk Inc. for numerous years before starting his career as a union Tile Setter with Local Union 1, retiring in 2020.

His hobbies included spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing and tinkering on  vehicles.  He enjoyed going to the casino, living in the country and watching wildlife.

Doug is survived by his children; Angela (Matthew) Sonneson, Jessica Szczech, Brian Szczech and Corey Szczech.   Grandfather of: Braeden, Wyatt, Sylas, Carsen, Sullivan and Owen.

Also survived by his siblings Mike (Kathy) Szczech, Debra (Keith) Nelson, Dan (Pam) Szczech, Jeff (Barb) Szczech, Daryl Szczech, Terry Szczech and Tammy Szczech and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Mark
