Douglas William LaRock, 50, of Cambridge, MN died on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in Wyoming, MN.
He was born January 30, 1974 in South St. Paul, MN to Douglas and Carol (Hubbard) LaRock. Doug was baptized at Salem Lutheran Church in West St. Paul. The family lived in Inver Grove Heights until 1987 when they moved to North Branch. Doug attended North Branch High School. After high school he worked in construction for a few years.
On January 14, 2000 he was united in marriage to Stephanie Ratajczak in Cambridge, MN. They made their home in Cambridge and raised their two children.
Doug worked at Weekes Forest Products in St. Paul for over 20 years in the dispatch department. He was currently working at McCarron’s Building Center in Forest Lake in the sales department.
He was a member of the AMA District 23 Amateur Riders Motorcycle Association; he raced motocross for many years and also raced snowmobiles. Doug was very active in the BMX community, helping his kids in the sport and volunteering at their events and at the BMX track in Isanti. He traveled to many areas in the state and country supporting his kids in BMX racing. Doug enjoyed building and home construction, fishing; especially ice fishing and spending time at the family cabin on Big Sandy Lake. He also liked spending time in Florida and Alabama visiting family.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles and Elaine Hubbard, James and Bertha LaRock.
Doug is survived by his wife Stephanie, daughter Joslynn LaRock of Colorado, son Reed LaRock of Cambridge, parents Jim and Carol LaRock of Pensacola, FL, sister Michelle LaRock (Casey Chellsen) of Panama City, FL, parents-in-law Dave & Deborah Bolgren of Foley, AL, father-in-law Terry (Lynn) Ratajczak of Michigan, step brother Leon (Brenda) LaRock of Breezy Point, step sister Danielle (Kavin) Koolmo of Lino Lakes, other relatives and friends.
