Diane L. (Aamodt) Anderson

Diane Lynn Anderson, 64, of Princeton, MN, peacefully passed away in the early morning of March 22, 2023 surrounded by her loving Husband and Son, after a valiant battle with Cancer.

Diane was born in Devils Lake, ND to Kenneth and Vivian Aamodt on October 12, 1958. Soon after her birth, Diane’s family moved to Sioux Falls, SD where she spent her childhood years growing up. As a young adult Diane perused a degree in horticulture which ultimately led her to Anoka, MN where she met her husband Maurice Anderson in 1977. Diane and Morrie were wed March 24, 1978, in the beautiful small town of Crown, at Zion Lutheran Church. They later went on to have their son, Michael Maurice Anderson, born on November 15, 1983.

Diane worked a variety of jobs throughout the years and in her free time enjoyed the company of friends, great music, traveling to see family, ceramic art and planting flowers in the Spring. Her greatest passion was sewing and making the most gorgeous quilts which she gifted to loved ones or donated to the Church.

Diane is preceded in death by her birth father Norman Aamodt, stepfather Kenneth Aamodt, mother Vivian Aamodt and sister Shirley Manus.

Diane is survived by her husband Maurice, son Mike, daughter-in-law Laura Anderson, grandson John, her sisters, Sandy VanDam, Peggy Aamodt, Kay Lonning, cousin Katie Nettell, niece Gina Sullivan, nephew David Aamodt and a well-loved number of other nieces, nephews and very close family and friends.

Diane was specifically known to do anything for her friends and family and loved them fiercely. 

Our family is grateful to know that Diane is finally at peace..

Memorial Service 11AM, Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Zion Lutheran Church of Crown.  Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
