Dennis James Frovarp, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 21, 2025, in Cambridge, Minnesota, at the age of 84. Born on July 25, 1941, in Park River, North Dakota, to James and Beulah (Lien) Frovarp.
Dennis attended LaFayette High School, where he graduated in 1959. His pursuit of education led him to the University of Minnesota for a year before he answered the call of duty and entered the United States Army in 1964. He served with (TEAM 22) MACV-SOG during Vietnam. Dennis was honorably discharged as a Sergeant, carrying with him the respect and gratitude of a nation.
Upon returning home, Dennis' heart led him to Audrey Louise Hesse. The two were united in marriage on September 3, 1966, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Forest Lake, Minnesota. Their journey began in Oklahoma, but they eventually returned to Forest Lake, where Dennis's career flourished. He worked for Plywood Minnesota and became a top salesman, traveling the world and sharing his passion for his work. Later, he and his brother Robert ventured into entrepreneurship, co-founding B&D Construction, which further showcased his leadership and dedication to excellence.
After retiring, Dennis and Audrey relocated near their son, Jeff, on Lake Elizabeth in Cambridge, embracing the serenity of lakeside living. It was here that Dennis could often be found enjoying pontoon rides.
Dennis was a man of integrity and warmth, known for his passionate, kind, and gentle nature. He was a valued member of the VFW in Isanti, where his camaraderie with fellow veterans was a source of great pride and fellowship.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Mark Frovarp.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Audrey L. Frovarp; his sons, Jeff Frovarp, Scott (Rachael) Frovarp, and Mike Frovarp; his grandchildren, Logan, Justin, Tommy, Alyssa, and Tyler Frovarp; and a great-grandson, Dalton; nieces, Shelly and Tasha. He also leaves his brother, Robert (Roberta "Bobbi") Frovarp.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion.
A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
