Daniel L. Oslund

Daniel Oslund, 68, of Cambridge, died peacefully in his sleep Wednesday morning, April 9, 2025 at his home next to his loving wife of 43 years. He fought a brave battle with early-onset frontotemporal dementia (FTD).

He was born on July 27, 1956 to Sid and Delores (Abrahamson) Oslund in Cambridge, MN.  Sid and Delores raised their family of seven boys first on a farm east of Cambridge and later in a home on Fanny Lake. While on the farm, Danny had a special bond with his pet pig.

Danny was a graduate of Cambridge High School, class of 1974. He attended St. Cloud Technical College and later to Dunwoody and became a Master Plumber. Danny's professional life was largely dedicated to commercial construction in downtown Minneapolis, where he was known for his meticulous work and reliable expertise for 38 years. He spent his entire career as a Local Union #15 plumber.  Danny was exceptionally mechanically inclined. He could fix or create or repair any request by Brenda or any of the kids (which was frequent).

Danny leaves behind his beloved wife, Brenda Oslund; children, Brittany (Chris) Fleck of Edina, Brandon Oslund of Elk River, Betsy Oslund (Larry Hall) of Long Beach, CA, Erik (Megan) Oslund of Andover; 7 grandchildren: Bridget, Emmett, Anders, Elsa, Odin, Freyr, Tre.  His family was his pride and joy; family life was his top priority!  He also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, PBR and football.

Also surviving are his brothers, Mike (Jackie) of Cambridge, Steve (Patti) of Minnetonka, Jerry (Emily) of Hugo, David (Cindy), Randy all of Cambridge and Brad (Sharon) of Ramsey and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sid and Delores Oslund, and his parents in law, Ron and Betty Nelson.
