Dale A. Sauer

Dale A, Sauer, 88, formerly of Harris passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Good Samaritan Home in Robbinsdale.

He was born February 21, 1938 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Herman and Marcella (Braun) Sauer.

Dale graduated from Roosevelt High School in Minneapolis, enlisted in the Navy and is a University of Minnesota graduate.  He served his country as a Navy veteran, a role he carried with honor throughout his life. After his military service, Dale worked for the State of Minnesota in a variety of roles.

Outside of his work and service, Dale found joy in spending time with family, farming, gardening, and living in areas rich with wildlife.  

He was a member of Fish Lake Lutheran Church, served on their Cemetery Committee, and participated in a variety of church events. 

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, Clifford and Helen Bolter, his first wife Carmen, and daughters Mindi and Diane.

Dale is survived by his wife Barbara, children Mark (Cathy) Sauer of Omaha, NE, Mike (Sharon) Sauer of Chaska, Brenden (Heather) Schaaf of Dayton, Katie Schaaf of Minneapolis, Annalise Schaaf of Houston, TX, three grandchildren Sarah Sauer, Stephanie Sauer and Riley Schaaf, brother Daryl Sauer of Deer River, other relatives and friends.  

Memorials are preferred.

Memorial Service 2PM, Friday, May 1, 2026 at Fish Lake Lutheran Church in Stark.  Visitation one hour prior to the service.  Interment in the church cemetery.
