Dale G. Carlson, age 75, of Cambridge, MN died peacefully after years of declining health on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in his hometown.
Dale was born in Braham, MN, to Gordon and Mildred Carlson on Friday, October 13, 1944. He went to Cambridge Elementary and graduated from Cambridge High School in 1963. He married Jeannine L. Holmberg on Saturday, April 12, 1969, at First Baptist Church in Cambridge. Throughout the years he worked for the state of Minnesota at the Regional Treatment Center, Steve’s Tire in Isanti & Cambridge, and the last years spent working with the Saint Francis school district until he had to retire. He seemed to always have a smile on his face, loved his family, friends, and early morning coffee at the cafe and later with friends while at GracePointe.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Dale is survived by his wife Jeannine of Isanti, sons Daniel and wife Jennifer Carlson of Shoreview, Chad and wife Kathy Carlson of Isanti, four grandchildren Micaiah, Abigail, Noah and Nokomis Carlson, brother Douglas and wife Linda Carlson of Stillwater, sister Beverly and husband Terry Scully of Chicago, IL, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of GracePointe, the CentraCare kidney dialysis team, and the friends who would visit. Those visits would bring a smile to his face, stories of his family, and it was these moments that brought him joy.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Monday, June 15, 2020 4-7 PM, at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home in Cambridge.
