Curtis Dale Olson, 72, of Cambridge passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 19, 2025.
He was born September 3, 1952 to Oscar and Lillie Olson in Vancouver, WA. The third of five children. Curt was raised in Minnesota and graduated from Anoka High School. He served four years in the Marine Corps and later graduated from Bethel with a Bachelors of Business Administration.
He moved to Cambridge and was blessed with four children from his first marriage. In 2001 he re-married adding two step-daughters.
Curt was an avid sportsman, was self-employed as a watch repairman and worked many years for Medtronic. He was a man of God, skilled in many areas, quick-witted, and was the best whistler. Curt’s love for his family never wavered despite his many years complicated with dementia.
Curt was preceded in death by his parents and nephews Joel Brandon and Dan Olson.
Curt is survived by loving wife, Cindy; children Eva (Matt) Frank of St. Louis Park; Katie (Luke) Neuman of Clearwater; Reed (Katie) Olson of Hermosa, SD; Ryan (Claire) Olson of Lake Leelanau, MI; step-daughters Angela Bourke of Blaine; Amy (Kyle) Sandven of Elk River; 28 grandchildren; siblings Linda Brandon (Michael Nielsen) of Zephyr Cove, NV; Gary (Peggy) Olson of Ham Lake; Cheryl Olson-Mills of Crosby; and David (Belinda) Olson of Kingston, ID. Curt is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Memorial Service 11AM, Friday, January 31, 2025 at First Baptist Church in Cambridge, MN. Visitation begins at 10AM. Military honors by Cambridge American Legion follows the service with luncheon to follow.
