Corey William Wetther, 56, of Isanti, MN, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 26, 2025, at his home.
He was born May 13, 1969, in Cambridge, MN, to David and Lillian (Reineccius) Wetther. Corey was baptized and confirmed at Cambridge Lutheran Church.
Corey grew up in rural Isanti, graduating from Cambridge High School in 1987. He continued his education at St. Cloud State, earning a Bachelor's Degree.
While attending college, he worked at the Royal Oak Charcoal Plant in Isanti, just like his brothers. His lifetime career was spent in the health, social, and human service industry, managing and working in community group homes.
He often volunteered with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters, the Salvation Army, and the Special Olympics. His many interests included spending time with family, sports, traveling, golfing, and gardening. Most recently, he attended and was actively involved at New Hope Community Church in Cambridge.
He formed many friendships through his work, church, and on the golf course.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brothers: Tim Wetther, Jon Wetther, and Terry Wetther.
Corey is survived by his siblings; Carole (Larry) Wilson of Isle, Larry (Janice) Wetther of Stanchfield, Tom (Diane) Wetther of Cambridge, Tina (Rob) Marshall of Isanti, and Robin Wetther of North Branch; niece; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Celebration of Life Gathering 2-5:00 PM, Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home. Interment will be in Cambridge Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
