Colleen Immel Obituary

Colleen Marie Immel, age 60, of Cambridge, Minnesota, passed away on June 18, 2026, after a short and courageous battle with cancer.

Colleen was born on January 28, 1966, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Marilyn and Richard Tempel. She grew up with a warm heart, a strong spirit, and a deep love for family that remained at the center of her life. She graduated from Harding High School and carried the values of hard work, kindness, and perseverance with her throughout her life.

Colleen devoted 23 years of service to the White Bear Lake School District, where she worked in various positions and became a valued part of the school community. Her dedication, reliability, and caring nature touched the lives of many over the years. She took pride in her work and in being someone others could count on.

Faith was an important part of Colleen’s life growing up, and she lived as a Christian with compassion and grace. She found joy in simple but meaningful moments, especially spending time with her family and making memories that would be cherished for years to come. She especially enjoyed visiting state and national parks with her husband and dogs, taking in the beauty of the outdoors, and sharing those experiences with the people she loved most.

Colleen also had a creative side and enjoyed a variety of crafts, including needlepoint and diamond dotz. These hobbies reflected her patience, attention to detail, and appreciation for creating something beautiful with her hands. Her interests brought her peace and joy, and they were another way she expressed her thoughtful and loving nature through gifts of her creativity that she shared with many others.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Immel; her daughters Allison Immel, Stephanie (Bill) Albright, and Julie Ann Immel; her grandchildren Allen Betts and Lauren Albright; her mother, Marilyn Tempel; her sister, Barbara (Bill) Anderson; as well as various nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members who will forever hold her in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Tempel.

Colleen will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the quiet strength she carried throughout her life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, courage, and kindness that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but the memories she created and the example she set will remain a lasting comfort to those she leaves behind.
