Cheryl Ann Hubacher

Cheryl Ann Hubacher, age 78, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving children.

Cheryl was born on May 1, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Charles “Andre” and Gertrude (Richman) Calander. She grew up in the Cambridge area, attending country school and graduating from Cambridge High School in 1965.

On October 27, 1972, Cheryl married the love of her life, Floyd C. Hubacher. They settled in south Minneapolis, where Cheryl devoted herself to being a stay-at-home mother. She cherished the many adventures she shared with her children at local parks and lakes. In 1993, the family relocated to her grandparents’ family farm in Cambridge.

Cheryl began working at Walmart in Cambridge in the early 1990s, where she was known for her friendliness and strong work ethic. She retired after 18 years of service. She deeply enjoyed spending time with her family, attending church services, and meeting new people—many of whom became lifelong friends. Her love of art brought her joy and creativity for many years.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Floyd, in December 1999; and her brother, Wayne.

She is survived by her children, Aaron Hubacher and Stephanie (Greg) Jensrud; her grandchildren, Avery, Sophia, and Sawyer; her stepchildren, Lynn, Diane, David, Paul, Jennifer, and sister Joan (Myron) Nelson; her sister-in-law, Darlene Calander as well as nieces, nephews, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will forever miss her beautiful smile and the love she gave us every single day as our mom, grandmother, and friend. Her kindness and warmth touched all who knew her, and her memory will live on in our hearts. She will be greatly missed.

Funeral services 11AM, Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at North Isanti Baptist Church, 2248 313th Ave NE, Cambridge, MN 55008. Visitation at 10AM. Interment in the church cemetery.
